FROM THE FIELD

We walked into a mid-size law firm’s conference room after their previous AV contractor had “finished” the installation. The room had a $12,000 display, a $4,000 Biamp system, and a wireless presentation device — all technically functional. But the Biamp had never been tuned to the room. The echo cancellation was on default settings. Remote callers couldn’t understand anyone in the room. We reconfigured the DSP in two hours — same equipment, completely different result. The system the firm paid for finally worked the way it should have from day one.

Large Venue & Houses of Worship

Large venue AV is the most technically demanding category we work in. Rooms that seat 200–2,000 people have acoustic challenges that can’t be solved by adding more speakers. Proper system design — speaker type, placement, delay settings, DSP configuration — determines whether the back row hears clearly or hears an echo of what the front row just heard.

Line Array Speaker Systems

For venues over 500 seats, line array systems provide even coverage from front to back with controlled dispersion. Sized to the room — not the largest system that will fit.
