New Construction
The best time to design a Control4 system is before the walls close. Infrastructure roughed in during framing — speaker wire, HDMI conduit, keypad rough-ins, rack location — costs a fraction of what retrofit work costs after drywall is up. Builder Coordination
We provide rough-in specifications for electricians, low-voltage pre-wire packages, and on-site coordination during framing. Most builders who've worked with us once request us on future projects.

Home Renovations
Renovation projects present the ideal opportunity to upgrade AV and automation infrastructure. When walls are already open, adding speaker wire, HDMI runs, and keypad rough-ins is straightforward. We work with remodeling contractors to coordinate the low-voltage scope within the renovation timeline.
Existing Home Retrofits
Control4 works in homes that weren’t pre-wired for it. Wireless keypads, wireless lighting control, and wireless sensors mean we can install meaningful home automation in an existing home without opening walls. For whole-home audio, we determine the most practical cabling paths and use wireless solutions where hardwiring isn’t practical.
A client came to us after buying a home that had been “smart” when installed ten years earlier — a closed system from a brand that no longer supported the product. The controllers were still there, the speakers were in the walls, the displays were mounted. But nothing worked because the software had been abandoned. We removed the legacy controllers, ran new Control4 hardware to the existing speaker and display locations, and brought the entire system back to life — upgraded and future-proofed. The existing infrastructure saved the client thousands in installation costs.
